Frannie in Pieces by: Delia Ephron
Summary: After Frannie's father dies, she finds a puzzle that she mistakes for he birthday present, and goes on a physical and mental journey to come to grips with her fathers sudden death.
Positive Elements: Frannie maintains a positive relationship with her father.
Spiritual Elements: Neither Frannie or her family believe in God or any other religion. Frannie talks about reincarnation.
Sexual Elements: The is one instance that refers to having sex. There are also various other passionate kissing scene, (4-5). Three references are made to breasts, two of which are in a sexual way.
Violent Content: None.
Language: OhmyGod, and God are used in a profane way a dozen times. There is also one use of B--ch, and three uses of a--.
Overall: Frannie in Pieces is mostly just fluff in which there is little respect for authority, and many other negative elements. I give this book a 1 out of 5 for content and entertainment. In my opinion this book is a waste of time.
